Job Summary:
Join our team as a Brand Manager Premium Wines (14-month contract) and you will lead a portfolio of exciting premium wine brands including Saintly, Sandbanks and Open.
In this role, you will be responsible for brand strategy, product differentiation, innovation and new product launches, commercial activation, and brand communications to drive sustainable growth. You will bring a highly consumer first and results-driven mindset, building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
This position is a 14-month contract based out of our Mississauga head office (hybrid work model / 3 days in office) and reports to the Marketing Director - Growth, Product & Brand on our Premium business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand lead for a portfolio of Premium wine brands including Saintly, Sandbanks and Open
- Define and steer long-term brand strategy, integrating consumer insights and category trends to drive sustained growth and strengthen brand equity
- Lead the development of new original creative strategies, campaigns and 360 high impact consumer plans to elevate brand salience and consumer desire
- Lead the development of innovation strategies to bring new products to market, aligned with consumer insights, brand positioning, and business objectives
- Drive commercial performance, delivering against financial targets through share growth, revenue acceleration, and margin optimization
- Partner cross-functionally with Market Strategy, Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure strong commercial execution, including brand initiatives, shopper programming, pricing and promotions, and product optimization
- Manage and ensure effective investment allocation of marketing budgets across the portfolio, including forecasting, tracking, and execution
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Min 4-5 years relevant in either Tier-1 CPG, Alcoolic Beverage marketing or DTC first brand
- Consumer first mindset, with demonstrated experience in developing original creative, and leading agencies to deliver best in class “big ideas”
- Experience with all aspects of brand management including, brand strategy, targeting and positioning, product management, concept development, Go-to-Market (GTM) / Commercial strategies and plans
- Strong demonstrated savviness with Digital marketing vehicles, social media, influencers, and solid understanding of how to best drive effective paid, earned and organic content
- Proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Excellent collaboration skills working with a broad range of cross-functional partners and providing support at all levels to resolve conflicts and issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve in challenging situations and in fast paced environments
- “Can-do” and resilient attitude, passion and energy to drive focus and rally teams to deliver success on their brands
- Consumer Products P&L Financial acumen and highly skilled managing budgets
- Commercial acumen - knowledge and experience working closely with sales, customers and shopper marketing teams
COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range - $85,487 - $117,517. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
