Job Summary
A member of the Market Strategy leadership team, reporting to the VP, Market Strategy, the Director, RGM & Market Strategy is responsible for driving profitable, sustainable growth through the strategic management of pricing, promotions, mix, and customer/channel strategies. This role combines advanced analytics, commercial strategy, and cross-functional leadership to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable plans that improve revenue, margin, and market performance.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Director will establish the RGM strategy and capabilities across the organization, bringing greater discipline and fact-based decision-making to pricing, promotional effectiveness, assortment, and trade investment. This role will also be a key contributor to Arterra’s channel, portfolio and innovation strategies, as well as working with our agency teams (internal and external) to drive strong commercial strategy for our partners. Finally, this role will lead Sales Enablement for the commercial organization, mapping the set of tools, processes, data, and capabilities that help sales teams spend more time selling and execute more effectively in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth Management: Drive profitable growth by optimizing pricing, promotions, portfolio mix, customer investment, and channel strategies through data-driven insights and commercial actions
- Channel and Portfolio Strategy: partner with our sales and marketing teams to develop brand and customer plans that maximize growth and strengthen our competitive advantage. Act as a member of the innovation steerco, approving all pipeline new product development projects.
- Agency Partners Commercial Strategy: in collaboration with our business development team and partners, build the portfolio strategy for each of our partner portfolios across the commercial levers of pricing, promotion, assortment, shopper marketing.
- Sales Enablement: implement the capabilities (tools, processes, systems) that unlock increased selling time and call effectiveness for our sales force.
- Non Alcoholic: lead the relationship and drive performance with our third party partnership responsible for the launch of our non alcoholic portfolio in Major retailer.
- Leadership: Raising the talent level through continuous development of a team of direct reports and their respective team members. Building strong succession planning and recruitment initiatives. Drive engagement across the team. Act as a senior leader of the market strategy group.
What You Bring
- 10+ years progressive experience in packaged goods industry specially sales intelligence, FP&A, RGM, GTM functions
- Previous leadership experience managing mid-size teams (<10)
- Proven analytical and storytelling capability.
- Ability to diagnose complex business problems and communicate outputs clearly through compelling visuals and excellent verbal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with Senior Leadership both internally and externally
- Provides direction, support, reinforcement and coaching to create a high-commitment, high-performing work team
- Utilizes a disciplined approach to define problems, identify root causes, evaluate data from a variety of sources, generate alternative solutions and choose the best solution
- Ability to use information in an effective and timely manner to allocate resources and achieve business goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational, co-ordination and time management skills
- Demonstrates a high level of follow through and ability to meet multiple deadlines
COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range - $126,111 - $173,403. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
