JOB STATEMENT: Effectively planned and scheduled preventive, predictive and corrective work for the Maintenance department. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. The role will be the liaison between Maintenance, Cellar Operations, Winemaking, and business partners to ensure all work activities are planned and scheduled. Utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Utilization of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts.

Essential FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans the execution of routine and non-routine repair procedures and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with the fundamental plant maintenance procedures and practices
  • Facilitates weekly scheduling with Production and Maintenance for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production
  • Coordinates maintenance activities and schedules between all departments, with outside contractors, and among various work groups to ensure jobs progress in a safe and efficient manner
  • Develops work order-based job plans in consultation with Maintenance Team Supervisors, Leads, and Manager
  • Works with all departments to handle scheduled equipment downtime based on process needs and the current business environment
  • Collects, tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability
  • Works with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs
  • Oversees planning and scheduling of plant preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs+
  • Schedule and arrange service with outside vendors for facilities and machinery
  • Must maintain inventory records
  • Receive and check in all parts, supplies and material
  • PM/Repair ordered Parts kitting
  • Fill out Parts Requisition form and obtain authorization before ordering of parts
  • Trains CMMS end users and new administrators; serves as liaison for problem solving and escalation
  • Manages work orders in the CMMS system, ensuring proper creation, scheduling, updates, and closures
  • Manages preventive and corrective maintenance monthly backlog to ensure work is completed as scheduled.
  • Ability to work on off times outside of normal shift hours to resolve problems or concerns related to production and project activities.
  • Move and lift material weighing 50 pounds to distances of 10 feet or more.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in temperature extremes on a daily basis.
  • Any other duties as assigned to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes, and work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Sense of urgency and ability to engage people in a positive manner
  • Must be able to solve problems and adjust to changing timelines
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime, particularly during harvest
  • Ability to work in a team environment and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s values of exhibiting the highest quality standards in all endeavors

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Emaint, IFS
  • High level of organization, accuracy, and efficiency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
  • Climb or balance stairs/ladders
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Limited noise level
  • Indoor/outdoor climate
  • Works near moving, mechanical parts, and lift truck traffic

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
