Pay Range: $22.18 to $27.68.

JOB STATEMENT: The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and facility upkeep tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, equipment, and work areas remain safe, clean, functional, and visually appealing. This position supports daily facility operations by performing preventive maintenance, painting, minor repairs, and general labor activities throughout the facility and surrounding property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, surface preparation, and related painting activities.

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.

• Perform minor repairs to walls, doors, windows, flooring, fixtures, and building components.

• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Manager.

• Replace light bulbs, ballasts, filters, and other facility components as needed.

• Maintain facility appearance through cleaning, painting, pressure washing, and general upkeep.

• Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and construction-related activities.

• Set up and move furniture, equipment, and materials for meetings, events, and operational needs.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

• Perform grounds maintenance tasks including trash removal, sweeping, landscaping support, and exterior facility upkeep.

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.

• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and timely.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

• One (1) year or more of general maintenance, facility maintenance, construction, painting, or related experience preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices and repair techniques.

• Experience with painting, drywall repair, and facility upkeep.

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain a safe working environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights safely.

• Ability to perform repetitive movements involving bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Exposure to dust, dirt, paint fumes, cleaning chemicals, noise, and moving mechanical equipment.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting.

• May be required to work on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, rooftops, and elevated platforms.

• Occasional overtime, weekend, or after-hours work may be required to address facility needs or emergencies.

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when performing assigned tasks.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility

• Safety cutter when cutting cardboard boxes and POS

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Forklift certification or other maintenance-related certifications are a plus.
