Pay Range: $19/HR to $21.74/HR

JOB STATEMENT: The Lift Truck Operator must know all phases of the shipping operation including but not limited to: Loading of truck per loading document with correct label, variety, size, and vintage in a safe and efficient manner, Staging of orders with above requirements. Shuttle / stacking of product between warehouses and Picking/Palletizing cases of wine as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
  • Stage and load product in truckload or less than quantity according to the relevant picking document
  • Unload required incoming materials and products and transport them to the assigned storage area
  • Unless otherwise specified, inventory rotation on both raw and finished goods will be the “FIFO” (first in first out) system
  • Store case goods in a manner to ensure safety, quality and proper space utilization
  • Must successfully pass OSHA certified forklift certification
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Must learn and adhere to the Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn the IFS, ALS and Scan works WMS systems
  • Evaluate and determine the correct method of loading various equipment to ensure a safe and legal load (weight distribution)
  • Palletize case goods according to individual distributor’s needs
  • Knowledge of all pallet pattern/ties and full pallet units required
  • Participate in all warehouse functions (housekeeping, safety meetings, rework, etc.)
  • Perform tasks per written and verbal instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • Forklift operation
  • Man lift operation
  • Proper lifting
  • Drive/back up STN Bobtail trucks
  • Safe work habits

Knowledge of:

  • Pallet patterns/ties and full pallet units required
  • Wine sizes, vintages, varieties and alcohol percentages
  • Weight distribution in loading trucks

Ability to:

  • Inspect vehicle and dock equipment for problems
  • Read and write English
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to get the job done, and an ability to work under the direction of others
  • Communicate with staff
  • Work under pressure

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Continuous forward reach
  • Continuous sitting

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Moving machinery
  • Driving forklift
  • Indoor climate

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
