The Role

This position will report to: Purchasing Supervisor

Travel Requirements: Based on Business needs 7-10%

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Shift:1

Employment Category: Temporary

Pay Range: $20.40/HR to $27.68/HR

JOB STATEMENT: The Purchasing Clerk I is responsible for purchasing parts, supplies and services necessary for daily operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Convert all requisitions for all sites into a PO
  • Create PO’s directly without requisitions if requested by ownership
  • For Ceres, bid and get competitive pricing if needed
  • For Ceres, call in and place orders for vendors
  • For Ceres, follow up on all expected delivery dates
  • For Ceres, manages coffee/water, water coolers, and portable toilet services
  • Create in IFS all suppliers for all entities
  • Using document management, attach all necessary applications to the supplier
  • Attach all and maintain all equipment leases in IFS via document manager, with expiration dates to notify Purchasing Supervisor 6 months to expiration
  • For Ceres, place all food orders as necessary
  • For Ceres, assist with managing the closet for office supplies
  • Reserve all hotel reservations for all personnel
  • Assist AP and receiving with any issues they have with suppliers’ invoices or BOL
  • Research and ensure all PO’s are properly closed if not closed automatically by IFS system
  • Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
  • Assist or lead special projects as requested
  • All other requirements will be assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • Purchasing policies and procedures
  • Telephone experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computers and office equipment
  • Maintain multiple projects
  • Communicate effectively
  • Work with minimal supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit for an extensive period of time
  • Perform tasks using standard computer equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Limited noise level
  • Indoor climate
  • All employees must be trained and familiar with Bronco Wine Company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
  • Report any accidents and any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
