Marisco Vineyards is seeking an experienced and motivated Vineyard Foreperson to join our team at Leefield Station Vineyard in the Waihopai Valley.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading by example, and helping people succeed. Reporting to the Leefield Station Vineyard Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating daily vineyard activities, supporting vineyard staff, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
About the role
As Vineyard Foreperson, you will work alongside the Vineyard Management Team to help coordinate vineyard operations and seasonal activities across the property. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the planning and coordination of daily vineyard activities.
Leading and supporting vineyard staff, seasonal workers and contractors.
Monitoring work quality and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
Supporting worker training, inductions and competency development.
Promoting safe work practices and contributing to a strong health and safety culture.
Assisting with equipment checks, maintenance reporting and operational record-keeping.
Supporting harvest operations and seasonal vineyard projects as required.
Acting as a key link between vineyard staff and management.
About you

Previous vineyard, horticultural or agricultural experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good organisational and time-management skills.
A strong commitment to health and safety.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A current New Zealand Driver License.
The legal right to work in New Zealand.
